If you are looking for disaster then you can get one by buying moving boxes at supermarket! Moving boxes were meant to protect and pack our goods so they arrive safely in their destination. They should be properly designed to protect our goods. There are special one for plates, clothes and books. But when I bought mine at the supermarket, they were easily broken and crumpled.
I thought I could save some dollars by shopping my moving boxes at the supermarket, but they turned out to be disaster. The moving boxes could not hold most of my belongings especially my books. And some electronic goods are heavier than I imagine, luckily my brand new LCD Plasma TV arrived in good shape although my DVD player was chipped in many places.
I borrowed the truck from my cousin to save some dollars too. But I should know better that my cousin was unreliable, the truck was partially filled with some of her belongings which she wanted to deliver along the way! I would rather spend a few more by hiring vehicle from car rental. In fact hiring a moving company could not be a bad idea!
